Poori / Puri recipe :

Poori is very popular recipe in south Indian dish.....Lets see how to make perfect poori with step by step pictures....


Ingredients:

  1. Wheat Flour - 2 cup
  2. Rava / Semolina / Sooji - 2 tsp
  3. Oil - 2 tsp
  4. Salt to taste 
  5. Water as required

Note :

  1. Semolina / rava will helps poori more crispy like in hotels.
  2. Fry the poori in high flame. Don't reduce the flame.

Method:

  1. Mix salt & Semolina / Rava to the flour & add water.
  2. Knead to make a tight dough.
  3. Cover with a cloth for 5 min & keep aside to rest.
  4. Knead the dough again & divide the dough in equal small round balls.
  5. Roll the ball with the roll pin to make a small poori.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil & press with a spoon to puff the poori.
  7. Remove once it turns golden in color.
  8. Serve hot.
