Peanut / Channa Salad recipe :

Healthy and tasty peanut & black channa salad recipe.....lets see step by step pictures....



Ingredients :

  1. Boiled Channa/ balck chickpeas/ Kondakadalai - 1 cup
  2. Boiled peanut / groundnut - 1 cup
  3. Tomato - 1
  4. Big onion - 1 or 2 
  5. Capsicum - 1/2 (optional)
  6. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Chaat powder -  1/2 tsp
  8. Black salt - 1/6 tsp
  9. Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp 
  10. Lemon - 1/2 
Total time for Cooking : 10 to 15 min

Method :

  1. Clean, wash and soak channa / kondakadalai in water for overnight 
  2. Soak peanut/ groundnut in water for 15 min
  3. Add enough water and a little salt in pressure cooker for 5 to 6 whistles or till channa and peanut is cooked
  4. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.drain well
  5. Finally chop the onion,tomatoes and capsicum
  6. In a large bowl, put the boiled channa and peanut 
  7. Then add the chopped ingredients 
  8. And finally add all the masala powders
  9. Mix well everything
  10. While serving squeeze the lemon 
  11. Serve immediately
